Zipper Slippage Tester
A Zipper Slippage Tester is a specialized instrument used to evaluate the resistance of a zipper to slippage under a specified tensile force. This test is crucial for assessing the durability and reliability of zippers in garments, bags, footwear, and other textile products.
The tester works by applying a controlled, measurable force to the zipper chain, mimicking the stresses it might experience during use. It then measures the amount of slippage or displacement between the zipper teeth or coils. This helps manufacturers ensure that zippers remain securely fastened and function correctly, preventing accidental opening or failure that could compromise the product's integrity and user satisfaction.
Applications:
Used for testing light slippage for zipper of metal, plastic and nylon zipper.
Test method：
According to the internationally preferred principle of constant speed elongation (CRE),
determine the maximum force value (i.e. the light slippage of the zipper) when the
zipper is pulled to the specified position.
