Test Procedures
1. Pressure: HEL offers a variety of options for studies of reactions in glass containers at 6 bar and 12 bar, and stainless steel containers at 60 bar. There are also options for other alloys and certain special materials. We can even manufacture systems with pressures exceeding 200 bar.
2. Temperature: By utilizing commercially available heating/cooling systems, we can provide the required temperature range from -80 to +350°C, with an accuracy of +/-0.1°C. These systems also provide a small footprint marker and emergency cooling when needed.
3. Feeding: Reactant feeding – gaseous, liquid, and solid feeding can be achieved using different technologies. Standard liquid feeding requires a combination of pump and balancing, but syringe pumps are used for low-flow-rate feeds, and pressurized containers are used for fast-flow and highly volatile reagents. Gas feeding is controlled through continuous reactor pressure, container and balancing combinations, or high-flow-rate control. Finally, automated solid feeding is accomplished through HEL's proprietary fully automated screw feeder system.
