Wear-resistant overlay chromium carbide powder
Chromium carbide powder is silver-grey to grey-black in colour, with fine and uniform particles, the particle size is mostly distributed in the micron range, featuring high purity, low impurities, moderate specific surface area, and showing good dispersibility and sintering activity. Its hardness is as high as 1300 - 1800HV, with excellent wear resistance, and can effectively resist high stress friction and particle scouring. With a melting point of about 1895°C, it maintains stable chemical properties and crystal structure at high temperatures, and has good antioxidant properties, allowing it to serve for a long period of time in high temperature environments above 600°C.
Chemically, chromium carbide powder has excellent corrosion resistance, showing strong resistance to erosion for all kinds of acid and alkali solutions. In industrial applications, it is the core raw material for the preparation of wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant coatings, which are often attached to the metal surface through thermal spraying, cladding and other processes to significantly enhance the wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant properties of the workpiece. In addition, chromium carbide powder is also an important component of high-performance cemented carbide and metal ceramics, which are widely used in mining machinery, petrochemical industry, aerospace industry and other fields for manufacturing key components such as drill bits, valves, turbine blades, etc., which can effectively prolong the service life of the equipments and improve the production efficiency.
