Carbon Electrodes
Carbon electrodes
Carbon electrodes are designed for thermal-electric processes in manufacturing silicon, calcium carbide and phosphorus. Carbon electrodes range from 900 to 1,272 mm in diameter and can be produced from 2,700 to 3,250 mm in length. For raw materials in production we use gas- or electro-calcined anthracite supplied from the Gorlovka field or artificial graphite. The pressing method used is vibroforming. Two types of carbon electrodes are produced: the mono-electrode with a tapered thread of a pin that is manufactured from the electrode body and the electrode with a separate graphite pin.
