High alumina low cement castable
High alumina low cement castable is a type of castable with a large amount of amorphous materials, which means that the amount of calcium aluminate cement added is about half or one-third of that of ordinary cement castable.
Compared with general high alumina castables, high alumina low cement castables use ultrafine powder to reduce cement dosage, greatly improving the strength and corrosiveness of low cement castables. By increasing the volume density and reducing the porosity, the service life is increased.
High alumina and low cement castables have been widely used in industrial kilns such as metallurgy (steel, molybdenum, copper, nickel, cobalt, magnesium metal), petrochemicals, electricity, building materials (cement, lime, glass), lithium carbonate, carbon, etc., and have largely replaced refractory bricks.
The characteristics of high alumina and low cement castables are also determined by different levels of refractory micro powder, different grades of main materials, and different grades of bonding agents to determine the quality of the product. In order to facilitate smaller particles, larger surface area ratio, and better sintering ability, the castable can be more suitable for user applications.
In application, especially in construction, controlling the amount of water added is also an important part. Generally, when leaving the factory, the manufacturer will attach the construction instructions for the pouring material. During construction, it is necessary to strictly follow the construction instructions, pour and maintain the pouring material well, and achieve better results.
