Operating Principle
CHT TECK brand cross flow type closed circuit cooling toweruses water and air as cooling media to exchange heat with the high-temperature fluidthat flow inside the coil. Internally equipped with spraywater system,coil, fill, drift eliminator, etc., externally equipped with spraywater pump, electronic water descaling device, and axial flow fan on top of the coil side. Under the ventilationaction of the axial fans, the interior of the cooling tower will becomea negative pressure state. During operation, the coolingspraywater is evenly and completely covered on the surface of the coil under strong airforce. The high-temperature fluid entersintothefluid inlet at topofthecoil, and then thefluid flows out from the outlet at bottom of the coil. During this process, the heat of the high-temperature fluidis exchangedbythecoolingspray water andfreshairblowing throughthe coil,andenhanced latent heat evaporative coolingbyfresh air, the heat exchange effectis significantly improved. Somecoolingspraywater vaporizes into water vapor,andexhausted away by the fan and discharged into the atmosphere, during this process itcarries away a large amount of heat. At the same time, the moisture in the hot air is intercepted by the drift eliminatorandflow backto the spray water basin. The high-temperature spray water that has not been vaporized flows into the fill packageand is cooled by the fresh air blowing through it. After sufficient cooling, the spraywater flows back to the spray waterbasin, and then it will be pumped into spray system for continued circulationby the spray water pump. The make up water is necessary to make up the spray water, whichis controlled by the float valveequippedin the spray water basin,to make up the spay water lost.
