Thermal CTP (Computer-to-Plate) plates are high-quality printing plates designed for computer-to-plate systems and widely used in offset printing plate-making processes. Made with premium aluminum substrates (1050/1060 aluminum) and thermal-sensitive coating, these plates can be directly imaged by thermal CTP setters. This eliminates traditional film output and contact exposure processes, helping printing companies improve plate-making efficiency, optimize print quality, and reduce overall production costs.
We offer thermal CTP plates in a wide range of sizes, thicknesses, and performance grades. Custom cutting is available, with a maximum width of up to 1500 mm. 1. Premium Aluminum Substrate and High-Quality Graining Process
Made from high-quality aluminum alloy substrates, the plates feature electrochemical graining, anodizing, and sealing processes. The graining is fine and uniform, while the coating adheres firmly to the aluminum base.
The plates offer excellent hydrophilic performance, enabling fast establishment of ink-water balance on press and reducing start-up paper waste. They are also resistant to scratches and chemical solvents, helping prevent scumming and plate blinding during printing.
2. High-Precision Dot Reproduction and Outstanding Print Quality
Compatible with 830 nm infrared thermal lasers, the plates provide sharp imaging and accurate dot reproduction. They can consistently achieve high-resolution output of 200-250 lpi.
Fine text, small dots, highlight dots, shadow details, and gradient transitions are reproduced clearly. The strong contrast between image and non-image areas ensures excellent color consistency for demanding printing applications such as catalogs, books, packaging, and posters. This reduces dot loss, dot deformation, plate remakes, and overall production downtime.
3. Excellent UV Ink Compatibility
With a unique dual-layer coating structure, our thermal CTP plates are suitable for UV ink printing. UV inks and metallic inks can be used without baking the plates, fully meeting the requirements of the packaging market for specialty ink printing.
4. Fast Ink-Water Balance and Reduced Ink Consumption
The plates provide excellent ink-water balance and can reduce ink consumption compared with standard printing plates. They enable faster color matching and improved printing efficiency while reducing paper and ink waste.

Compatible with all mainstream 830 nm thermal CTP setters on the market, our plates have been verified on most external-drum thermal CTP machines. They can be handled under daylight conditions, making operation convenient and efficient.
