Phospho-L-Tyrosine Disodium Salt
Chemical and Physical Properties of Phospho-L-Tyrosine Disodium Salt Structure: Derived from L-tyrosine via phosphorylation of the hydroxyl group (-OH) on the aromatic benzene ring, forming a phosphate ester bond (-OPO₃²⁻) neutralized by two sodium ions. This modification enhances water solubility (soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol) compared to the parent L-tyrosine. Stability: Stable under acidic to neutral conditions (pH 3–7); hydrolyzes to L-tyrosine and inorganic phosphate under strong acid (pH <2) or high-temperature (>120℃) conditions. It is sensitive to phosphatases (e.g., alkaline phosphatase) and should be stored with phosphatase inhibitors in biological samples.
