Introduction:

Cranberry extract is extracted from cranberry fruit.Cranberry extract is abundant in sources of flavonoids such as anthocyanidins, flavonols and quercetin. These compounds have shown possible activity as anti-cancer agents in vitro.The active ingredient of cranberry extract is anthocyanidins.Anthocyanidins, a class of flavonoids, are sugarless plant pigments. Anthocyanidins have so far proved unique in this regard.Cranberry extract is not only food supplement, but also an effective nutritional and medicinal supplement.Cranberry extract has been sold as nutritional and therapeutic supplements in Europe since the 1980s. It can benefit the cardiovascular system and immune system, and act as anti-cancer agents. One study compared cranberries with twenty other fruits, showing that cranberries had a high amount of total polyphenols.
