L-Alanyl-L-Tyrosine
L-Alanyl-L-Tyrosine is formed by the connection of L-alanine and L-tyrosine through peptide bonds. In living organisms, amino acids are linked through peptide bonds to form peptide chains, which then constitute proteins. A dipeptide is a short peptide composed of two amino acids.
L-Alanyl-L-Tyrosine is usually a white to off-white crystalline powder, readily soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol, and insoluble in organic solvents such as ether. It has a certain degree of stability, but under extreme conditions such as strong acids, strong bases or high temperatures, the peptide bond may undergo hydrolysis and decompose into the corresponding amino acids.
