Mechanical Properties

Impact Resistance: ABS has excellent impact resistance, making it durable in various applications.

Wear Resistance: It exhibits good wear resistance and maintains stability under operational conditions.

Creep Resistance: ABS's creep resistance is greater than that of Polysulfone (PSF) and Polycarbonate (PC), but less than that of Polyamide (PA) and Polyoxymethylene (POM).

Flexural and Compressive Strength: While ABS offers good overall mechanical properties, its flexural and compressive strengths are relatively poor compared to other plastics. These properties are significantly influenced by temperature changes.

Thermal and Flammability Properties

Flammability: According to the UL94 standard, ABS is classified as an HB material, indicating that it is flammable. It ignites easily, burns quickly, and emits a substantial amount of toxic gases and black smoke, which limits its practical applications in certain areas.

Temperature Influence: The mechanical properties of ABS are highly dependent on temperature, affecting its performance in different environments.
Flame Retardancy
