The40GbpsQSFP+transceiveriswellsuitedforInfinibandand40GBASE-SR4/40GBASE-LR4applications.ItcombinesthehigherdensityattractionsofparallelmoduleswithsomeofthekeyadvantagesnormallyassociatedwithSFP+basedmodules.Itisintendedforuseshortreachapplicationsinswitches,routersanddatacenterequipmentwhereitprovideshigherdensityandlowercostwhencomparedwithstandardSFP+modules.
