It is popular among farmers. The annual usage accounts for about 1/4 of the total nitrogen fertilizer production, making it the most widely used nitrogen fertilizer product in China, except for urea. The main disadvantages of ammonium bicarbonate are its volatility and low nitrogen utilization efficiency.
