Phospholipids

The application advantages of phospholipids in the medical field
Drug carriers: Phospholipids can be made into drug carriers such as liposomes, which encapsulate drugs internally to achieve targeted delivery and controlled release of drugs. Liposomes have good biocompatibility and biodegradability, which can enhance the efficacy of drugs and reduce their toxic and side effects. For instance, in cancer treatment, liposomes prepared with phospholipids can accurately deliver chemotherapy drugs to the tumor site, enhance the killing effect of the drugs on tumor cells, and at the same time reduce damage to normal tissues.
Emulsified drugs: For some poorly soluble drugs, phospholipids can be used as emulsifiers to make emulsions, increasing the solubility and stability of the drugs and improving their bioavailability. For instance, adding phospholipids to some injectable drugs can enable the drugs to be better dispersed in the solution, facilitating absorption by the human body.
Cell membrane repair: Phospholipids are one of the main components of cell membranes and can be used in the medical field to repair damaged cell membranes. Some diseases can cause damage and functional disorders of cell membranes. Supplementing phospholipids can help restore the normal structure and function of cell membranes and promote cell repair and regeneration.
