Advantages of Gigabit Fiber Switch
Cost-effective. The use of switch hub 1000mbpscan reduce costs. For buildings with fiber optics, fiber-optic Ethernet connections are much less expensive than circuit connections based on DS3 or high-speed ATM services, in the meanwhile, the whole network access is also more efficient.
The application of 10/100/1000Mbps fiber switch efficiently delivers the commitment of latency, jitter, and bandwidth levels. To submit user-specified latency and jitter levels, fiber Ethernet networks utilize technologies developed in the IETF. When a packet is transmitted into the network, the information in the packet will be used to assign the packet to a specific service category. In the contract users can also specify certain bandwidth, and the network operator guarantees such bandwidth by restricting the number of guaranteed services within the network capacity range.
Diversified access methods. Fiber Ethernet switches can not only be used both for the network access but also for the backbone networks provided by local ISP. It can be used only in layer 2 or also as an effective way to implement layer 3 networking. It supports IP, IPX, and other traditional protocols. In addition, as it still belongs to LAN networking, it can help greatly about the interconnection between enterprise LANs and corporate LANs and other networks.
