MOPS Detailed Description
MOPS bufferfull name 3- (N- morpholine) propionic acid, belongs to the amphoteric ion buffer, CAS1132-61-2, desheng production of MOPS products appearance is white powder, with high hydrophilicity and excellent water solubility.
The Main Application Areas Of Mops As A Buffer Are As Follows:
For buffering in extraction kits and PCR kits;
For denaturing gel electrophoresis, protein/nucleic acid separation and purification in chromatography;
Cell culture medium;
Buffers in biosynthesis;
Cell culture medium for yeast, bacteria, and mammalian cells when controlling the medium.
Cautions of MOPS Buffer:
Mops powderin the raw material state should be stored in the sealed and moisture-proof condition;
The solution configured as mops should be stored at 2-8 °C and the storage time should not be too long, autoclaving is not recommended;
Mops buffer for cell culture in mammals, the concentration can not be higher than 20 mm;
There is almost no complexation between MOPS and metal, but once the complexing occurs, it may produce interference;
MOPS can affect the thickness and barrier properties of the endothelial surface layer in rats;
In the presence of glucose, MOPS produces partial degradation when autoclaved:
MOPS interacts with DNA and forms complexes;
MOPS can alter lipid interactions.
