Principle and Method of Temperature Compensation for FBG Fiber Optic Sensor
The best way for AtGrating to compensate the temperature for the FBG strain sensor is to inscribe double gratings in one fiber, and then package it into the FBG strain sensor with temperature compensation, one FBG is used to measure the strain, and the other is used to measure the strain. Since the strain FBG and temperature FBG are in the same temperature environment, the temperature value measured by temperature FBG can be regarded as the temperature of strain FBG. Hence we can deduct the influence of temperature on the reflected wavelength from formula Strain(μɛ)=((λS -λS0)-(λT-λT0)*KT)/Ks, so as to obtain an accurate strain change value.
