BS6004 6241Ycables refer to the flat single-core and circuit protective core (earth core) with a voltage of 300/500v.
6241Y cableis normally used fixed installation in domestic locations and industrial lighting in both dry and damp walls, and also can be fixed in cable tray, embedded in plaster and cable trunking.
These 6241Y cables can be designed for low smoke zero halogens (LSZH) as 6241B.

These 6241Y cables are particularly suited for installation as meter tails and are used for fixed installation in the condition of dry or damp occasion.6241y cable can be laid in conduit, cable trunking and cable ducting. Or where there is little risk of mechanical damage these cables can be fixed with clip directly or by cable tray or embedded or in free air. They are not allowed to be laid underground.
