Hesperetin is one type of citrus aurantium fructus extracts and often used in food, medicine, health-care products and cosmetics. Hesperetin and Hesperidin are different substances. Hesperetin is a chemical substance with a molecular formula of C16H14O6. It is mainly derived from young fruits of the citrus genus of the Rutaceae family, which belongs to one of the dihydroflavonoids. It is light yellow needle-like crystal or powder. Hesperidin is also known as Chuanpisu; Dihydroflavonoid glycosides, molecular formula C28H34O15, are white or light yellow crystalline powder; odorless and tasteless. It is easily soluble in pyridine or dimethylformamide, but insoluble in ethanol or water. But the functions of the two are similar.
