Casting tin bronze generally also adds zinc, lead, phosphorus, and other elements. Zinc can improve the fluidity of the alloy, and reduce the tendency of tin bronze anti-bias. Lead significantly improves the wear resistance and machinability of the alloy. Cast in bronze is used for wear and corrosion-resistant parts.

Brass has a small solidification temperature range, good fluidity, and easy melting.
