Rigging Shackles
ZH shackles are far superior to any other shackle we sell. Forged at high temperature (including the markings) these shackles receive no surface damage from hand stamping and do not suffer from weaknesses found in shackles manufactured from steel bar. No expense is spared by Crosby in the design and manufacture of these vital rigging components.
WHAT ARE RIGGING SHACKLES?
US type rigging shackles are used every day in the material handling industry to connect lifting slings, wire rope, chain, and fiber rope either to a load or to each other.
Shackles are used to lift, secure and rig heavy loads, where they act as the final link in a connection chain or sling setup. Shackles are advantageous if wanting to make a robust physical connection between the load-lifting device (typically a hoist hook or sling) and the payload that needs to be moved or supported.
