Standing seam metal roofingis a concealed fastener system that features vertical or trapezoidal legs with flat space in between. This standing seam roof system from B&G is one of the most durable and weathertight roofing systems available in the industry. Its concealed fastener design ensures that fasteners are not exposed to the elements, which could cause them to fail over time. These panels are attached to the roof deck with clamps, eliminating holes from nails or other fasteners that could allow moisture to seep through.
Standing seam metal roofing is a premium roofing solution distinguished by its sleek, vertical seams and concealed fasteners, creating a clean, modern aesthetic with superior weather resistance. Traditionally, panels were secured using clips that engaged with the vertical legs and attached to the roofing substructure. Today, with the advancement of design and technology, both clipped and clipless panel systems are widely available—offering greater flexibility in installation and performance.
B&G offers both snap-lock and mechanically field-seamed panels. Snap-lock panels are a standing seam roof system that is secured to the roof deck with clips, allowing for the thermal movement of the roofing panels. Mechanically seamed panels are similar to snap-lock panels; however, the clips that secure them in place must be crimped together either with a machine or by hand. There are four basic types of standing seam metal roof systems: double lock seam, symmetrical seam, one-piece snap-lock interlock, and two-piece snap-lock interlock.
