Silica gel desiccantis a kind of highly active adsorbingmaterial, which is usually obtained by the reaction of sodium sulfate and sulfuric acidand after a series of post-processes such as aging and acid foam. Silicic acid is an amorphous substance with chemical formula msi02 and nH20, which is insoluble in water and any solvent . It is poisonless and tasteless, having good chemical stability. Due to different manufacturing methods, various types of silica gels have different microporous structures. The chemical and physical structure of silica gel has determined that it has many characteristics difficult to replace by other similar materials: good adsorption, stable chemical properties, high mechanical strength and so on.
