Naphthol AS-BS | CAS135-65-9
is an azoic coupling component used in azoic dyeing, also known as ice dyeing. It is not a finished dye that produces a fixed colour by itself. During the dyeing process, Naphthol AS-BS is first applied to the fibre and then coupled with a suitable diazo component, commonly called a color base, to develop the final azoic colour on the textile material.
Also known as Azoic Coupling Component 17, Naphthol AS-BS is mainly used for cotton yarn, cotton fabrics, cotton printing, and selected cellulosic fibre applications. It is suitable for textile dye houses, yarn dyeing mills, fabric printing factories, dye distributors, and organic pigment intermediate purchasers that need a stable naphthol coupling component for bulk supply.
