OEO(Optical-Electrical-Optical) fiber optic repeater single modeis a device used in optical transmission which converts signals by amplifying and shaping, even the conversion of wavelength and the pattern. With the OEO multimode fiber optic repeater, we can effectively save fibre resources and network costs.
Types of OEO Repeater
01- 10G OEO Repeater
The optical transponder can convert 1G~11.3 Gbps Ethernet signals into a corresponding wavelength in CWDM and DWDM network infrastructures. It enables network operators to implement a wide range of media conversions in a compact and flexible design.
02- 40G&100G OEO Repeater
It can perfectly realize the function of optical signal regeneration and amplification, signal cleaning, and shaping with features of highly compact structure, flexible configuration, and low power consumption.

Wavelength Conversion
When adding a CWDM Mux/Demux or DWDMMux/Demux into a WDM network, there is a requirement to convert the optical wavelengths like 850nm, 1310nm, and 1550nm to CWDM or ChinaDWDMwavelengths. Then the OEO transponder comes to assist.
The OEO transponder receives, amplifies, and re-transmits the signal on a different wavelength without changing the signal content.

Signal Repeating
In long haul fiber optic transmission, OEO transponder also can work as a repeater to extend network distance by converting wavelengths (1310nm to 1550nm) and amplifying optical power.
The OEO converter converts the weak optical signals from the fiber into electrical signals, and regenerates or amplifies them, then recovers them into strong optical signals for continuous transmission.
