Test Procedures
Sample Mounting: Install test samples onto standard sample holders and distribute them evenly across the drum-type sample rack.
Filter Selection: Install the appropriate daylight or glass transmission filter system according to standards (e.g., ASTM G155).
Parameter Setting: Input irradiance intensity, black panel temperature, ambient temperature, humidity, and spray cycle on the control panel.
Self-Test Initiation: Verify cooling water flow is unobstructed, start the instrument self-test, and activate the xenon lamp.
Cycle operation: The instrument automatically cycles through preset alternating periods of illumination, darkness, and spraying.
Rating comparison: After testing, remove samples and evaluate data by comparing against gray cards under a standard light source or using a colorimeter.
Maintenance Information
Water Quality Monitoring: The water-cooling system must use high-quality deionized water. Replace filter cartridges regularly to prevent scale buildup on the outer lamp tubes, which impairs light transmittance.
Lamp and Filter Maintenance: Periodically inspect lamps and filters to ensure surfaces are free of fingerprints and contaminants. Replace the entire set when radiation intensity decays below the threshold.
