Yarway blow-off valves are designed inconformance with all coderequirements(ASMESectionl,ASMEB31.1,ASMEB16.34).
Becausetheprimarypurposeofablow-off valveisremovalofdirt,sedimentandscale,theboilercoderequiresthatvalveswhichhavedamsorpocketsinwhichsedimentcanaccumulatecannotbeusedinblow-offservice.Thismeansthatordinaryglobevalvescannotbeusedasblow-offvalves.
