Using a traditional Pap smear for cervical screening, the slide will present many unrelated tissues that will cause false-negative and affect the screening result. Liquid-based cytology in cervical screening uses a small brush to collect cervical cells, then put them into a vial with cell preservation solution, and use the filter to separate other tissue to get pure cervical cells. This method can remove the interference factors in the sample, avoid excessive overlap of cells, and make abnormal cells easily identified.
