Steel Grating is a kind of open steel member with its bearing bars&cross bars jointing at their intersections either by welding or by locking. Steel grating is made of carbon steel or stainless steel. Carbon steel grating(eg. serrated carbon steel grating) or mild steel grating, is lighter and cheaper than stainless steel grating, as it material grade is lower than that of stainless steel. Stainless steel gratingis smooth at surface, it's much more expensive than carbon steel grating. Most customers prefer mild steel grating more than stainless steel grating. Steel grating is made of bearing bar and cross bar. Steel grate is weighty with strong pressure resistance, which makes it widely used as steel grating flooring, steel grain grate, steel safety grating, steel grate walkway,industrial floor grating and so on. It can be made to plain steel bar grating or serrated steel grating.
Regarding on surface treatment, coating, hot-dipped galvanizing and untreated are available for mild steel grating, in which hot-dipped galvanizing is commonly recommended. For stainless steel grating, it usually doesn't need any surface treatment as it is smooth and anti-corrosive.
