Ferrite Magnet
Ferrite Magnet
Ferrite magnet is also called ceramic magnets. The main components of the raw materials are iron oxide,Website:, barium carbonate or strontium carbonate. So it have two types, one is Barium ferrite magnet, and the other is Strontium ferrite magnet.
The ferrite magnets have higher coercive fore, higher resistance to be demagnetized and higher corrosion resistance than other non-rare earth permanent magnets , belonging to the semiconductor type, the eddy current loss, coercive force, can be effectively applied to the air gap in the magnetic circuit, especially suitable for small permanent magnet generator and motor. It does not contain precious metals nickel, cobalt, rich sources of raw materials, process is not complicated, low cost, can replace the AlNiCo magnet. The maximum energy product (BH) max is relatively low, so in the case of equal energy, than the metal magnet size. Its temperature stability is poor, crisp texture, fragile, not resistant to shock and vibration, is not suitable for measuring instruments and precision requirements of the magnetic device.
The main products of permanent magnet ferrite are anisotropic series. They can be used for making permanent magnet ignition motor, permanent magnet motor, permanent magnetic concentrator, permanent magnet crane head thrust magnetic bearing, magnetic separator, a loudspeaker, a microwave devices, magnetic films, hearing aids and so on.
