317L Austenitic Stainless Steel (UNS S31703)

Hongchao Stainless Steel, INC. has been specilizing the stainless steel industry since 2000. 317L (UNS S31703) is a molybdenum-containing austenitic stainless steel that is intended to provide improved corrosion resistance in highly corrosive environments, particularly those containing chlorides or other halides. 317 and 317L containing 3 ~ 4% molybdenum are preferred to Types 316 or 316L which contain 2 ~ 3% molybdenum in applications requiring enhanced pitting and general corrosion resistance because of the difference on amount of molybdenum. 317L (UNS S31703) is non-magnetic in the annealed condition but may become slightly magnetic as a result of welding.
