Chromium carbide powder is gray-black in color, with high hardness, excellent abrasion resistance, high temperature and chemical corrosion resistance. The melting point is about 1890℃, Mohs hardness 8.5, with excellent wear resistance and oxidation resistance, it is an important raw material for the preparation of wear-resistant coatings and cemented carbide. The purity of the powder can be up to 99% or more, chromium content ≥75%, carbon content 10-15%, particle size can be controlled at 1-10μm, suitable for different sintering and spraying processes. In the iron and steel industry, it can be coated on the surface of rolls through plasma spraying technology, which can extend the service life of rolls by 3-5 times and reduce the rolling cost.
