Large specific surface area, high activity chromium carbide powder
Chromium carbide powder is a grey-black powder with a melting point of about 1890°C and a Mohs hardness of 8.5. It has excellent wear resistance and oxidation resistance, and is an important raw material for the preparation of wear-resistant coatings and cemented carbides. The purity of the powder can reach more than 99%, chromium content ≥75%, carbon content 10-15%, particle size can be controlled in 1-10μm, suitable for different sintering and spraying processes. In the iron and steel industry, it can be coated on the surface of rolls by plasma spraying technology, which can extend the service life of rolls by 3-5 times and reduce the rolling cost. The hardness of the powder is high, the microhardness reaches 2200HV, and the hardness of the wear-resistant coating prepared with it can reach HRC65 or above, which is suitable for the occasions of bearing high stress wear, such as the surface reinforcement of the bucket teeth of the excavator and the hammer head of the crusher. The combination strength of the coating and the substrate is high, up to more than 50MPa, not easy to peel off, to ensure the long-term use of the effect. In mining machinery, parts treated with chromium carbide coating can withstand the severe impact and friction of the ore, and the service life is enhanced by 4-6 times.
