Pickled and Oiled Sheet

The resulting steel is easier to process, offers many manufacturing advantages, and has a smoother surface finish than hot rolled steel that has not undergone this process.

Hot rolled pickled and oiled is steel that has had its oxide film removed and oiled to help resist corrosion. During the pickling process, the hot rolled pickled and oiled steel is descaled in a hydrochloric acid bath. The scale-free surface facilitates forming, bending, stamping and painting, saving production costs and improving the quality of finished parts.
