what kind of glue we should use when bond metal drum with rubber?
when we do pulley lagging , we need bond metal surface of pulley with rubber sheet by cold vulcanizing way.
besides working environment on site, one element which affects bonding mostly is the drum bonding glue.
Because of special requirement of conveyor belt running system, we need choose one kind drum bonding gluewhich with characteristic of flame-resitance and with high bonding strength , and also can make conveyor belt back to work soon after bonding.
To choose the glue for bonding drum metal surface with rubber sheet ,we recommend Ramimtech cold vulcanizing glue SK313.
Ramimtech cold vulcanizing glue sk313, also can be used as drum coating glue, is non-flammable , it is one type glue can reach high bonding strength when bond drum metal surface with rubber.
This glue have wide bonding range such as rubber to rubber , rubber to metal , fabric to rubber , fabric to fabric. its high bonding strength is in the same level with hot vulcanizing.
Tests prove bonding strength of cold vulcanizing glue sk313 can reach 12N/mm when it bonding rubber sheet to drum,which is 2-4 times higher than other glue.
The way of bonding rubber sheet to drum:
1.Roughen drum surface,remove residue rubber which still stick on drum.
Then use special angle grinder L1202 to grind drum continually until we get a rough surface which is without rust. Recommend grinding depth 30um.
2.Clean drum surface.
Use cleaning brush to clear the roughened drum ,then use cleaning solution SK353 to make a deeper clean. Wait it dry.
3.Brush cold vulcanizing drum coating glue sk313.
Apply metal primer sk363 evenly on drum surface,when it completely dry,brush one coat glue mixture which is made of adhesive and hardener by the radio of 100:4,when the first coat glue is dry,apply the second coat on the drum,meanwhile brushing one coat glue evenly onto the back side (also called the CN bonding side) of wear resistant rubber sheet.
Note:In the whole process, brush two coats cold vulcanizing glue mixture on drum metal surface, and brush one coat on rubber sheet with CN bonding layer.
As for bonding drum metal surface with rubber sheet, please bond each other when the glue on them are sticky. After bonding,use rubber mallet to hit the surface firmly, to ensure there is no trapped air between rubber sheet and metal surface.
As for sealing and trimming,use T2 extruder gun to seal the gap in jointting area and use rubber knife to cut and trim the edge of rubber sheet.
