Applications
The Airflow Method Fabric Drying Rate Tester is an automated testing instrument designed to measure the drying rate of textiles in accordance with the requirements of the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC) Test Method 200.
Standards
AATCC 200-2017: Drying Rate of Textiles at their Absorbent Capacity: Airflow Method.
GB/T 43822-2024: Textiles — Determination of drying rate at maximum water absorption capacity.
ISO 17617: (Related Reference) Textiles — Determination of moisture drying rate.
Features
1. Incorporates high-precision wind speed sensors, infrared temperature sensors, moisture measurement sensors, high-precision wind speed control devices, and alternating drip-sensing and infrared measurement mechanisms.
2. Combined with software, it automatically completes fabric maximum water absorption measurement, drying time and drying rate testing, along with a series of data analyses. This significantly enhances work efficiency and measurement accuracy while reducing errors and mistakes caused by manual operation.
3. The drying rate tester software transmits data to the host via USB port. Data is displayed and saved in graphical and chart formats for convenient user analysis and printing.
4. Wide adjustable ranges for wind speed (0.2–4.5 m/sec) and drip volume (0.05–4.5 ml).
5. The airflow method tester not only meets the AATCC 200 testing standard but also serves as a valuable tool for fabric designers.

Test Procedures
Power-Up Preparation: Connect the power supply, start the main unit, and wait for the system self-test to complete.
Parameter Setup: Enter the company name, operator, and test time on the touchscreen. Set parameters such as test pressure and liquid volume.
Sample Placement: Trim the sample and lay it flat on the test platform, ensuring complete coverage.
Test Initiation: Select the test mode and click “Start.” The test head will automatically descend, dispense water upon contacting the sample, and the system will record parameter changes in real time.
Data Export: After the test completes, click “Data Export” to generate a report. Supports USB drive or network transfer.
