Due to different dimensions or abnormal loads, these flat rack shipping containers are used when the cargo must be loaded from the top or sides such as cars, oversize machine and other special merchandises.
FLAT RACK CONTAINER DIMENSION
Flatracks container can be collapsible or non-collapsible, and they can have walls or not. Their measurements, however, remain roughly the same. The common flat rack container size includes 20ft and 40ft, and other special sizes can be customized by DFIC.
WHAT IS A FLAT RACK CONTAINER
DFIC manufactured flat rack container for saleis typically used for the transport or storage of cargo with irregular dimensions. Flat racks only have sides on the short side of the container, known as the bulkheads, allowing the cargo to protrude from the side of the container during transportation. Flat rack high cube containers are typically available in two sizes: 20 feet and 40 feet. The choice is determined by the size of the cargo. Typically, the only difference between these two types is their length.
FLAT RACK CONTAINER WEIGHT CAPACITY
There is no limit to the flat rack container loading because they don't have side or top walls like regular dry container. Flat racks are used to transport oversized cargo such as breakbulk cargo, construction equipment, cranes, pipes, windmills, automobiles, steel, glass, sugarcane, and so forth.
