The Fabric Coolness Tester is designed to evaluate the contact coolness sensation of textiles by measuring the contact coolness index (qmax, peak heat flux). By simulating the sensation of human touch, it quantifies the heat transfer from skin to fabric, allowing objective assessment of fabrics with cooling properties. It is suitable for summer clothing, underwear, cooling patches, mattresses, and other skin-contact materials. The instrument can also measure thermal conductivity and thermal insulation, supporting both dry and wet measurement methods.

EN 31092: Clothing thermal insulation – measurement using sweating guarded hot plate (optional).
Features
