Standards
GB/T 40872-2021: Test Methods for Polyethylene Foams
ISO 7214:2007: Cellular plastics — Polyethylene — Test methods
JIS K6382: Test Method for Repeated Compression of Rubber Materials
GB/T 42258-2022: Determination of Fatigue Properties of Flexible Porous Polymer Materials by Constant Deformation Method
JIS K6767-1999: Test Methods for Polyethylene Foams and Cellular Rubber Materials
Features
1. Standardized Testing Functions and Procedures
The system simulates the repeated compression conditions of foam materials in actual use. The sample is compressed to 50% of its initial height at a frequency of 60 cycles/minute, allowing for up to 80.000 cycles of reciprocating compression.
After testing, the sample is left to rest at room temperature for 30 minutes before precisely measuring its thickness and calculating the compression deformation rate. The process conforms to professional testing standards and effectively evaluates the fatigue resistance of the foam. The system possesses precise sample thickness measurement capabilities, providing fundamental support for the accuracy of the test data.
2. Multi-Standard Compatibility
Compliant with international standard ISO 7214 (Test Methods for Polyethylene Foam Materials), Japanese Industrial Standard JIS K6767 (Polyethylene Foam Testing), and JIS K6382 (Latex Foam Rubber Cushioning Material Testing), it meets the compliance testing needs of different types of foam materials.
3. Flexible Technical Adaptability
The compression stroke covers 0-50mm, adaptable to foam samples of various thicknesses (such as common 20-50mm thick samples). Equipped with a stable operating system (such as a motor and LCD counter), it supports high-cycle (up to 80.000 cycles) continuous reciprocating compression. The testing process does not require long-term personnel supervision, and the system automatically stops after reaching the set number of cycles.

Accessoriess
200×200mm standard sample cutting template, spare upper and lower platen assemblies, dedicated power cord (compatible with AC220V 5A), equipment operation and maintenance manual, small maintenance tool kit (including hex wrenches, etc.), sample thickness calibration block.
Test Procedures
1. Equipment Pre-inspection and Preparation
Confirm power supply matches AC220V 5A and connect the power cord;
Check that the upper and lower compression plates are securely installed and that the air holes on the lower compression plate are not blocked;
Turn on the power and verify that the LCD counter and compression mechanism are functioning correctly.
2. Sample Preparation
Use a 200×200mm cutting template to cut the foam material into standard samples;
Measure and record the initial thickness of the sample.
3. Test Parameter Settings
Set the compression rate to 60 cpm (cycles/minute);
Set the target number of compression cycles using the LCD counter (within the range of 0-999999);
Adjust the distance between the compression plates to a position that matches the initial thickness of the sample (not exceeding the maximum distance of 200mm).
4. Sample Installation
Place the sample smoothly in the center of the lower compression plate;
Slowly lower the upper compression plate until it lightly touches the sample surface to complete positioning.
5. Starting and Running the Test
After confirming that the parameters and sample are correct, start the test program;
The equipment will compress the sample reciprocally at the set rate (compression stroke adapts to 50% of the initial thickness of the sample) until the set number of cycles is reached, then it will automatically stop.
6. Sample Handling and Data Recording
Raise the upper compression plate, remove the sample, and let it stand at room temperature for 30 minutes;
Measure the final thickness of the sample and calculate the compression deformation rate;
Record the number of test cycles, initial/final thickness of the sample, and other data.
7. Equipment Reset and Maintenance
Clean the surface of the compression plates and remove any sample residue;
Turn off the power, disconnect the power cord, and protect the equipment from dust.
