Titanium carbide rods - suitable for heavy-duty processing
Compared with traditional high-speed steel bars, hard alloy titanium carbide round bars enable a 3 to 5 times increase in cutting speed, significantly reducing processing time in mass production environments. These bars exhibit a uniform microstructure with grain size controllable below 1 μm, ensuring consistent mechanical performance throughout the material and minimizing the risk of tool failure due to material inhomogeneity. In the mold industry, cold stamping die inserts fabricated from this material demonstrate service lives 50 to 100 times longer than those made from conventional steel, substantially reducing replacement frequency and associated production costs. The round bars are available in customizable lengths ranging from 100 mm to 1000 mm and are amenable to secondary processing techniques such as precision grinding and wire electrical discharge machining, enabling the fabrication of components with complex geometries. Although the initial cost exceeds that of standard cemented carbide, the overall cost per unit product is lower when accounting for extended service life and enhanced processing efficiency. In gear manufacturing, hobs produced from this material can achieve gear tooth surface accuracy of grade 6 or higher, fulfilling the stringent requirements of high-performance mechanical transmission systems.
