Industrial guide wheels - titanium carbide alloy wear-resistant
Hard alloy titanium carbide guide wheels serve as critical guiding components in the manufacturing processes of wire and tubular materials. These components are fabricated through powder metallurgy sintering using high-purity titanium carbide reinforced with a cobalt binder phase, achieving a surface hardness of up to HRC88 and exhibiting wear resistance exceeding 50 times that of conventional steel guide wheels. The roundness deviation is maintained within 0.002 mm, ensuring stable wire movement during high-speed drawing operations and effectively preventing vibration or misalignment. In stainless steel wire production, the implementation of these guide wheels reduces the surface roughness of the wire from Ra1.6 μm to Ra0.4 μm, thereby significantly enhancing product quality. Compared to ceramic guide wheels, this type of guide wheel demonstrates superior toughness, making it less susceptible to fracture under minor impact and reducing replacement frequency. Owing to its favorable cost-performance ratio, this guide wheel has been widely adopted in the tire industry, contributing to improved wear resistance and safety performance of tires.
