Titanium carbide TiC ceramic powder
Titanium carbide powder is a grayish-black ultrafine powder with a purity of over 99.9%, and an average particle size ranging from 0.5 to 5μm. It features a high melting point (3140℃) and high hardness (Mohs hardness 9-10). It is the core raw material for preparing titanium carbide hard alloys and ceramic materials. In powder metallurgy, when mixed with cobalt and nickel powders and sintered, it can be made into high-performance alloys. The powder has good sphericity and excellent fluidity, with a bulk density of 2.5-3.0g/cm³, which can ensure the uniformity of the composition of the sintered products and prevent the occurrence of pores or segregation. In the production of cemented carbide, the addition of titanium carbide powder can increase the wear resistance of the alloy by 20-30%, and it is widely used in cutting tools, molds and other fields. With the development of the new energy industry, titanium carbide powder is also applied in lithium-ion batteries. When used as an anode material, its theoretical capacity reaches 350mAh/g and its cycle life exceeds 1,000 times. After the surface of the powder is coated with a layer of carbon, its conductivity is further enhanced, and the charging and discharging efficiency of the battery is increased to over 95%. In the field of energy storage, it provides a new direction for the research and development of high-performance batteries and promotes the progress of new energy technologies.
