The hardness of the powder is high, with a microhardness of up to 2200HV. The wear-resistant coating prepared from it can reach a hardness of over HRC65, making it suitable for applications subject to high-stress wear, such as the surface strengthening of excavator bucket teeth and crusher hammer heads. The coating has a high bonding strength with the substrate, reaching over 50MPa, and is not prone to peeling, ensuring long-term performance. In mining machinery, parts treated with chromium carbide coating can withstand the severe impact and friction of ores, increasing their service life by 4 to 6 times. Chromium carbide powder is a grayish-black powder with a melting point of approximately 1890°C and a Mohs hardness of 8.5. It has excellent wear resistance and oxidation resistance and is an important raw material for preparing wear-resistant coatings and hard alloys. The purity of the powder can reach over 99%, with chromium content of ≥75% and carbon content of 10-15%. The particle size can be controlled within 1-10μm, suitable for various sintering and spraying processes. In the steel industry, when applied to the surface of rolls through plasma spraying technology, the service life of the rolls can be extended by 3 to 5 times, reducing the rolling cost.
