G008Manual Tearing Tester, The Elmendorf tear method can be used to test the force required to extend a specified length of a variety of sheet or film specimens under specified loads and specified cracks. It can detect the tear strength under a specific impact force, and the impact force corresponds to a specific drop hammer. First, a small tongue-shaped opening should be cut on the sample by the tester, and the tear strength can be then measured as the incision expanded.
