General Description of Reclaimed Fluxes
Reclaimed fluxes is a strongly exothermic flux and used as covering and drossing flux, recovery of grindings, skimmings, turnings and dirty scrap, effectively used to remelt heavily contaminated scrap, minimize the melting losses associated with the melting of chips, turnings, and borings.
Advantages of Reclaimed Fluxes
1. Remove oxide built-up on furnace linings and crucibles, providing dry, easily removable dross
2. It is a strongly exothermic flux, reduce the rich metallic content of drosses.
3. It is also used as covering and drossing flux for the hearth type furnaces
4. Removes suspended oxide from the melt.
