General description of Recovering Flux
Recovering flux is a flux specifically designed for the purpose of treating hot drosses, which is the insufficient separation of the metal. Melt entrapped aluminum in hot dross due to its intense exothermic action. It applies to all types of dross from different alloys. The dross and the recovering flux should be added alternatively in sandwich fashion
The advantage of
1. This flux has an excellent effect on hot skim. help extract maximum aluminum from hot dross,
2. It’s strongly exothermic which causes entrapped aluminum in hot dross to melt.
3. Produces dry powdery dross. promote high metal recovery, reduce oxide build-up, and remove non-metallics from the melt
4. It’s a cost-saving flux with low addition rate & quickly reaction.
