Test Principles
The F313 Plastic Smoke Density Tester measures smoke optical density by placing a burning plastic sample in a controlled environment. A light source passes through the smoke, and a silicon photodiode detects the transmitted light. The system calculates the specific optical density of the smoke. Maximum optical density is measured to evaluate the smoke-generating characteristics of the plastic material. All measurements strictly comply with GB, ISO, and ASTM standards.
Operation Instructions
Sample preparation: Ensure test samples meet dimensional requirements (100 × 100 mm, thickness ≤50 mm).
Device setup: Connect power and set appropriate parameters, including temperature and gas flow.
Start test: Press the “Start Test” button; the system automatically ignites the sample and collects data.
Safety precautions: Operators should wear protective equipment and ensure adequate ventilation.
Test completion: Data is automatically displayed and can be printed. Clean the chamber to remove residual smoke before turning off the device.
