Contact heat resistance tester
A Contact Heat Resistance Tester is a specialized laboratory instrument designed to measure a material's ability to resist and protect against heat transfer through direct contact.
This tester works by applying a heated surface at a controlled temperature and pressure to a material specimen. It then measures the amount of time it takes for the temperature on the material's opposite (unexposed) side to reach a specified threshold, or the temperature increase after a set duration. This provides critical data for evaluating the thermal protective performance of materials used in gloves, protective clothing, and other applications where direct contact with hot objects or surfaces is a risk. It's essential for ensuring safety and compliance with relevant industry standards.

The contact heat resistance tester evaluates materials' ability to withstand high-temperature contact heat by measuring the time required for specimen temperature to rise 10°C under specified pressure and heating conditions. This critical time determination provides quantitative assessment for thermal protection material development and performance evaluation.
