Vertical/Horizontal Wire Flame Test Apparatus UL 1581

This testapparatus(VW-1)is designed according to UL1581 sect 1080.1~1080.14. and meet the criteria of VW-1(Vertical-specimen)FlameTest.It can be usedto test of 1060productswireandcableFT1andverticalburningtest,1080 VW-1test,1061test, 1090horizontaltest and 1100 horizontal specimen or FT2test;to assess the flame spreading ability to combustible near by of cable or flexible wire when it caught fire.The whole test is carried out in a sealed test chamber with a volume of 4.32 M3.

Test method: adjust the flame height to placed the specimen at the top of the flame, burning for 15 seconds, extinguished 15 seconds, repeat 5 times,then inspecting the burned situation of the specimen, it can be set the combustion, extinguish and repetition automaticlly.

User's Experience:

Structure Features:

1. The test chamber is electrolyticplateelectrostaticspraying,elegantappearance, and inside isroasted black.

2. The tester is equipped with powerfulexhaustfume extractor,when the test is complete, open and air supply system and exhaust to the outdoors, and during the test, the system is closed;

3. The air throttle is equipped behind the test chamber.After the completion of the test, open the ventilation system to air distribution in the cabinet,But during the testing, the air door should be closed.

4. Theglassviewingwindowis on thefrontbox,allowing easyobservationduring the test.

5.The test chamber is equipped with sealed glove to operate the burner inside.

6. Testchamber size:availablespace2.1M(l)*1M(w)*2.1M(h), capacity:4.48m3.Dimensions2.4m(l)*1M(w)*2.3M(h).

Temperature measurementsystem:

1. Athermalsensor(coppertubingandthermocouples)-tubestructureshould beveryhigh conductivityelectrolyticcopper.Lengthof19.14±0.02mm.

2. K-thermocouple,0.5mmdiameterofstainless steeltubesasasleeve.

3. The digital temperature meter with match with imports K-type thermocouple, which readings greater than 1000 degrees centigrade.

4. Equipped with electronic stopwatch: accurate to 0.1s.

Apparatus and Fixture:

1. The main fixtures include test stand and burner fixture

2. Theburner inner-diameteris 9.5±0.5mm,firemouthdiameter is 0.90±0.03mm;burnerpipe is 102mm. Air supply is adjustable;

3. The height of flame is adjustable; Standard requests are: totalheightof flame is 125±10MM,blueinner flame heightis40±2mm flametestangle is adjustablefrom 0 to 45°.

4. Importedgasspecialflowmeterand preciseneedlevalvecontrollinggasflow.

5. Importedbrandsofpressuregaugesandcontrolvalveworkinggaspressure;

6. Test stand is made of stainless steel, and include horizontal bracket, vertical support an independent type, also as FT1. FT2. VW-1. three kinds of specifications. The plant of vertical support and blowtorch is parallel to the observation window plane, easy for viewing and operation.
