Titanium carbide powder for the preparation of high-temperature structural component coatings

After the surface of the powder is modified, it can be well combined with organic materials such as resin and plastic to form metal-ceramic composite materials, which have both hardness and toughness. This composite material is widely used in sports goods, such as golf club heads, ensuring strength while reducing weight. The powder has a low magnetic permeability and is suitable for making high-frequency electromagnetic shielding materials. It can effectively reduce electromagnetic interference in 5G communication equipment. In the aerospace field, it can be used to prepare lightweight and high-strength structural components, reducing the weight of aircraft. Titanium carbide powder has excellent chemical stability. It is insoluble in common acids and bases such as water, hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid, and only corrodes slowly in hydrofluoric acid and hot concentrated sulfuric acid. It is suitable as a raw material for making corrosion-resistant coatings. By spraying it onto the metal surface through the thermal spraying process, a wear-resistant coating with a thickness of 50-200μm can be formed, which can extend the service life of the parts by 5-10 times. The oxygen content of the powder is less than 0.1%, which can reduce the oxidation reaction during the sintering process and ensure the mechanical properties of the product. In oil drilling equipment, the coated drill bits prepared with this powder can withstand the high temperature, high pressure and corrosive environment underground.
